How do voice notes work?

Tap and hold the mic button on the Today screen to record. Noda transcribes your voice on-device using Apple Speech Recognition, then runs AI to extract action items, dates, hashtags, and a short summary.

Max recording length is 10 minutes. Audio is stored locally on your device and never uploaded.

Does Noda work offline?

Yes for capture and viewing. Voice and text notes save locally instantly. AI summarization and transcription require an internet connection.

What's stored on the device vs. cloud?

All notes, audio, and images are stored locally on your iPhone. AI processing sends note text to Anthropic for summarization, then the response is stored locally. Nothing is kept on our servers.

Notes marked as "Private" (lock icon) skip AI processing entirely.

How does the calendar integration work?

When Noda detects a date or time in your note, it suggests adding it as a calendar event. You approve, choose duration + reminder, and the event is added to your iOS Calendar.

Noda checks for conflicts with existing events before creating new ones. You can view or unschedule events directly from the note.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime. Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Lifetime purchases are not refundable except as required by App Store policy.

What happens to my notes if I cancel Pro?

All your existing notes stay accessible. You can read, edit, and delete them. AI features (summary regeneration, voice transcription, photo OCR) become limited to the free tier quota (10 text AI calls per day).

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Noda, tap the paywall, then tap "Restore purchases" at the bottom. Your Pro entitlement will be restored within a few seconds.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. iOS encrypts all app data at rest when your device passcode is enabled. Private notes additionally bypass AI processing entirely.

What languages does Noda support?

Noda's UI and AI are optimized for Vietnamese and English. Voice transcription uses Apple Speech Recognition, which supports both languages natively.
